Situated in the middle of the Hawkesbury river, Dangar Island has cultivated a close knit community, culminating in the cafe having a decidedly “local” feeling. I chose the Dangar Burger, a medium well beef patty, several leafy greens, trimmed bacon, slightly runny egg, and a mix of what i can only assume to be mayonnaise and some sweeter, homemade sauce; all in a lightly toasted brioche bun. Overall, the burger, while not necessarily a unique taste profile, is a good choice for fans of other relatively juicy burgers (grill’d, some pub burgers).
